Let me make it easier for people to find the answer.

Notably, South African beer (represented by Cape Town) has become significantly cheaper – moving from the world’s 12th cheapest, to the 3rd cheapest.

Just had look on Edeka's website (www.edeka.de).
A case of 20x Keller- / Weissbier is 12.99Euro.
You also get 3.40Euro back when you bring the case and empties back.

That works out roughly to R9 / beer.

Granted, this is not in a bar, but in a liqueur store.

The most expensive beer I ever purchased was about 5 years ago in Qatar where I paid about R75! The average day temperatures was about 50 degrees C, so it was a bargain at that price......
