It would be yes..

And if they asked for her ID, they'd see she was lying, which would not look good for her "case"
And her case should be dismissed, possibly prosecuted for falsifying the report as well.
Such things really need to be taken up more seriously, fraud is a crime that's bringing our nation down.

My parents also had a domestic worker for many years.
They paid her very well and even paid for her granddaughters schooling so she could go to a good school.
When my parents retired and moved to another town she also became greedy and wanted more money from them. My parents spoke to the relevant government department and promptly told her to **** off.

Watch out for these domestic workers. You might think they are almost part of the family but they will **** you over without blinking an eye.

Always pay wages in cash, never have any paper trail. When they come knocking, tell them to **** off. Where's their proof - there is none. As someone else said, never seen them in my life.

Which can be a bit difficult when they can tell the CCMA everything from the position of your furniture to the size of your underwear and what's in your fridge.

Put a contract in place when hiring a domestic worker. Make sure it is explained in their preferred language. Also ask them to take it to department of labour and ccma if they want. It helps to cut out any ambiguity. It protects both parties from each other.

I did it this way. And it has helped me several times when there was any confusion. I also keep everything in writing.

My mom had her domestic for 22 years, she retired my stepdad did all the paperwork sorted it all out with the ccma.
She tried to take them to the cna cause she really didn't understand what was happening.

Ah yes Mr CCMA Negotiator, I was wondering why my door latch was broken open and food missing out of my fridge :) Or, oh is that why the domestic garden maintenance service imperial manager executive (garden boy) from next door said he saw a lady lurking around my house looking through windows while I was at work.

Now if you don't mind I will be going to the cops to lay a charge of fraud, trespassing on my property and possibly breaking and entering...

I have heard that sometimes their friends and family tell them that if they go to the CCMA, they get big bucks.

So they go to the CCMA not understanding the full implications, and in some cases, have to part ways with a family that they have actually come to love over money.

You are absolutely correct on that one..

They listen to their friends and family, and in doing so sometimes destroy what was a very good working relationship for a family that would have moved mountains to help them.
