Hi all
Thought Id post this here for anyone who owns a P5D7633 belkin ADSL AP router. The current firmware version is F5D7633-4Av1_UK_1.00.11. I am not sure if this stuff is in earlier versions, one can only try.
NOTICE: Before you continue, playing with this stuff may make your unit unstable or worse, brick it, Dont hold me responsible!!!!
Firstly, for the common knowledge stuff:
You can logon via telnet using admin and your admin password you created. Once at the prompt, type sh <enter> and youll have proper shell access to your unit. Its running busybox, version 0.60.4 if you are on the Belkin version above.
Now the juicy stuff:
There are a number of hidden html pages that give the unit much more functionality. I am going to highlight them here. I have only tested the syslog setup and the dyndns setup, but the rest looks pretty straight forward.
You can access all of these at http://{your router ip}/ and bang them on the end.
backupsettings.html backups
ddnsadd.html dynamic dns
diag.html pppoe diagnostics
enblservice.html enable multicast
firewall.html firewall and nat enable/disable
hlpethconn.html Ethernet connection test
hlppngdns.html ping dns test
hlppnggw.html Ping Default Gateway Test
hlppppoeconn.html ppp connection test
hlpwlconn.html Wireless Connection Test
logconfig.html log configuration
natcfg.html firewall and nat enable/disable
natcfg2.html firewall and nat enable/disable with multicast switch
pvccfg.html PVC identifier
qoscls.html QOS class rule editor
siproxdcfg.html SIP proxy gateway enable/disable
snmpconfig.html snmp config
vpivci.html VPI config and some extras
Like I said, the dyndns and syslog settings work like a charm. Also, there are many many others, but I havent played with them yet.
I assume that, because a lot of routers these days run busybox, many of these setting pages will work on other units too. Try them out,I would love to know.
Adios
