Benchmarks show Windows 10 faster on Apple chips than Microsoft's own hardware

A recently-published comparison video shows Windows 10 running faster on Apple's custom-built processors than Microsoft's own hardware.

In the comparison - which was reported on by Softpedia News - YouTuber Martin Nobel pitted a Mac Mini with an Apple Silicon M1 processor against the Surface X Pro laptop which employs Microsoft's custom-built SQ2 chip.

Nobel was able to get Windows 10 up and running on the Mac Mini by using the ACVM emulation launcher to run an ARM64 Virtual Machine instance.

Well given that the SQ2 seems to be pretty much a Kryo 495 derived chip which is 2 years old now this shouldn't be a surprise.

Got to acknowledge Apple for the M1 - it's an impressive CPU - much better that what Qualcomm, Intel, AMD, Samsung, IBM, etc are offering.

Well done Apple.

Pray tell, what hardware does Microsoft make...?

No questions... It's damned impressive for a piece of low power silicone.

Must say that M1 is a seriously cool piece of silicon.

If they keep this up I might actually consider running Mac hardware in future for doing work, development etc.
The pricing isn't too insane compared to building a new pc and the form factor is great for those of us who hate the whole RGB "muh gamer hardware" crap that's overtaken the entire PC industry.

Wish I could trade in my awful 2018 company issued 13" Macbook Pro for one of these. The thing is lying in the corner gathering dust.
