I would like to find out if any of you have looked at getting the BES system or looked at an outsourced solution of Hosted BES, in a similar fashion as Microsoft hosted exchange, If so what have your experiences been like.

The reason I ask is we are about to launch a hosted BES system in partnership with Vodacom, and before doing so, I would like to try find out if this services is needed and secondly what would your expectations be from this system.

That is an excellent idea. There will be plenty SME businesses looking for outsourced hosted BES systems. The BES server is just to expensive for any small to medium company.

Try www.mailstreet.com. I used it for about a year. Worked flawlessly. It's not only an online BES service nie, but an online Exchange server as well.

Our initial offer will be hosted exchange 2003, users will have the option of enabling the Blackberry services as well, we will also be incorporating a native push to email service for people with non compliant devices.

With each blackberry you now get the BES Express Server (same as BES but can only have max of 15 users) software plus one CAL for free. There after you only pay for each additional CAL up to a maximum of 15. Works very well for SME's
