Best Android Smart Phone currently for sale

Well I ordered my Xperia S

3 reasons:

• 12 MP camera with dedicated shutter button.
• HDMI support (Can use any Micro HDMI and play my movies/Photo's/Games on my TV)
• 341 ppi it even kicks the iPhone's retina display in the face on sharpness, not to even mention the Bravia Engine.

Also I like the look, its 4.3" (I dont want a tablet that can dial, thank you very much) and I am looking at getting me a Smartwatch as well.

Currently on HTC Desire HD thats single core 1Ghz, so 1.5 dual core should be more than enough as I don't have problems on my old phone or a need to up CPU yet, Oh and it actually looks cool. not like the HTC One's dated design

How does the screen actually look though? It's LCD where pretty much every other phone has an OLED display by now. Also has Sony woken up and started using gorilla glad instead of plastic?

DHD still rocks the boat for me, my update is in a few months and I think I'll keep my DHD and just add a tablet or experiment on WP7.

Best Android phone out now - One X or Galaxy Nexus. Best phone here in SA - SGS2 or Xperia S.

Funny thing is its the same display as my Xperia Play.

What I like about the Play vs the others is that I can actually use it in direct sunlight unlike most that I have seen, that you forever have to create a shadow to be able to read. Also they mention poor viewing angles, that for me is a plus. I don't want someone on another table at the restaurant to see what I am doing... its none of their business.

As for the glass they using Scratch-resistant glass, doesn't claim to be gorilla but at least they moved away from the plastic.

HD2 is one hell of a cool phone.

Only one I know that you can pick WP7 or Android or WM 6.5

If they make another one like that with today's specs I would not think twice in getting it.

Do not buy the experia S!!!! its not nearly as good as the others and this is coming from a big sony ericsson fan.
HTC one x is the best, there have been some arriving in SA already so it is here.
I have been holding off on my upgrade to see if the galaxy S3 would be better but from all accounts it isnt, also the S3 doesnt have a super AMOLED 2 but went with the same screen as the S1, so the IPS display on the One X takes it for me. Ordered mine on Friday.

Phew, I got it canceled just need to go in later today to confirm.

Also a big Ericsson fan well because of the Play and PS store(Read gamer), and everything on the phone is what I want.... except for the dam battery and the fact that its not replaceable means you only have what the phone carries.

Maybe I am over-reacting as it does 5 hours of video playback and 7 hours of talktime vs the S2's 8 hours on both but like I said at least on the S2 you can swap out the battery.

Or maybe I am so worried cause this phone will have to stick for 2 years. as my second contract will have to go for the iPhone 5. (Skipped the 4S as it did not really bring something new to the table)

And who said to much choice is never a bad thing.... oh wait that was me.

Edit: reads Sand_man's link.... go searching for reviews on the One S (I Dont want to go over 4.3" screen size so the X is out)

The one x also has non replaceable battery and no SD slot.. WTF is this, Apple?? I can live with it on my RAZR because it's so slim & sexy, but a big-ass phone like the HTC One x should allow you to take out the battery.

Gees dude, what that devices lacks by way of specs (very little IMO) it makes up for with form factor. It's a stunner!! Having just seen pictures of it mind you.

LOL... I think is more a case of settle than making up my mind if I look at what is out there.

I dont want > 4.3" so that put most of the top phones out of the picture.
I do want NFC and a dedicated camera button + front screen camera, HDMI and ICS with loads of battery life.

I dont mind the CPU as I pointed out my DHD is as capable now as most, it just lacks the ticks mentioned in the "I wants" above.

ICS part I can fix(Root + flash), the battery part I am a bit screwed so I will just have to settle.

Best battery life will probably be the RAZR MAXXXXXXXX, but that doesn't have a shutter button. Not sure about the NFC either.
