I am looking to buy a new phone soon, preferably under R5000 but can be streched to R6k
I need a phone with excellent screen on time.
I was looking at the xiaomi mi max, however its ridiculously big.
I just need a phone that if i push it really hard with youtube and web browsing it will still get me through a day.

The Mi Max is very big, but it is not really an issue. For me anyway.. The battery is superb.

I had many problems with my Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 such as not making or receiving calls. Ended up ditching the phone in place of something else. You can try your luck on a more expensive Xiaomi but i learnt my lesson and only sticking to very well known reliable brands.

:wtf: Xiaomi is a reliable brand. What you describe can happen to any brand phone out there. Just a bit bad luck, I'd say.

@OP, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 or 4, you'll get 3 days battery use. Very premium feel and look to them.

What? The Note 3 is my daily driver. A charge last me 3 days easy. I bought it on that Wechat special for R1899.
Note 4, don't know pricing. I will tell you next month, planning on buying one from Geekbuying or Gearbest. My wife wants my Note 3.

Is the battery still good when using youtube and web browsing?
I see rugged sa and bid or buy have the note 4, usually R4800 - R5800. Seems like a good deal
Koolgear has it for R4850 for the 3gb ram , 64gb model, but dont know how trustworthy they are

No phone is going to make it through an entire day of youtube imo. So regardless of what you get I'd add a powerbank.

This is happening to my wifes Hauwei, amd a friend of hers Hauwei as well. I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and its only been a pleasure. Still have 89 percent battery left at the end of the day if I dont use it a lot. Massive battery.

Do you know where to find a case for the note 3? Can't find any local shops that have any
