I know this has been posted before but the posts were all from some-time back.

I am looking for an affordable and reliable courier service for my online store. Which are the best options around and has anyone experienced any problems with any courier company.

Ram is probably the best but you need higher volumes for their rates to be competitive, min R5k a month to even consider them opening an account.

We use the Prepaid service from The Courier Guy. Good prices for the flyer option, service is franchise dependent.

Dawn wing seems to be pretty good, wootware.co.za and MyBB deliveries come via them.
Customer experience wise, the drivers are really polite.

We use Fastway for about 5 to 10 deliveries per day. You can't beat their bulk prices or online service platform.
The only problems we've ever had are with people who are not home to receive the shipment or people who insist on having high gates and no doorbell. But you can't blame the courier service for that.

Or broken packages, rude drivers and just plain late for pickups our volumes is a bit higher than that but found ultimately ram with all its querks is better.

At the moment deliveries uncertain, but plan is to stat small.

Expecting to be in the similar price range of other online stores, between R35 and R80

Xoc.co.za is also good, basically TCG without needing an account. Tcg prepaid account is amazing for heavy parcels, R175 for 25kg but they use a 4000 volumetric ratio at that rate though.

Prices only come down when your volumes get decent.
