Hi Guys

I think I saw a thread on this but can't find it. Help me find the best deal on a Nokia N95 or E90 (if available), on either Vodacom or MTN... I am not interested in anything from Virgin or CellC, even if they pay me to make calls.

Thanks.

P.S. The sooner the better. It looks like the iTalk deal is over :(

Neither

avoid nokia. They are slow and very buggy

go for a Microsoft based phone. At least they are not slow.

LOL... cant' agree with you more... but MS phones are also slow and buggy.... I have one. I would prefer a MS phone, but finding one with the required capabilities on contract is proving difficult.

I need something with a GPS and 3G or HSDPA... so suggestions are welcome.

mmm, tough one.

THe HTC Tytn is not slow compare to all preceding MS phones, but no GPS. You can get a bluetooth GPS unit for it though

Yeah right. After using a few MS phones my self and changing to the Nokia N95 I will never look back.

MS phones suck.

NOKIA rule..

HTC's are PDA's that can dial. NOKIA's are decent phones, and PDA functions depending on the model.

... You talking about the X7500? :(

I'm not worried about size... I use it mainly for work on the go...when I go out at night, etc. I use my trusty tiny old Nokia 8810

There's a HTC Advantage at the Vodashop in Woodmead which was reserved for me. I went to look at it today and decided not to take it because:

- too large and unwieldy (although comes with handy leather case)
- magnetic keyboard attachment is awkward and feels jittery if held
- only has hands free speaker (means using headphones)
- I prefer E90

They were asking about R 4400 pay-in on a talk 500 upgrade. It should still be available - speak to Shawn.

WOW... didnt realise it would be that much... probably because it isn't a popular choice.... I think it was about 8k cash in Singapore.
