Best device to stream DSTV Now on TV

Hi All

New to the whole DSTV Now thing but after putting it onto my Tablet I am wanting to be able to either cast it onto a TV or use the DSTV Now app on the TV itself with the use of an android Media Box/Player . What I am wanting to know basically or ask opinions on is which will be the better option , getting a Google Chromecast Or one of the MXQ Pro units ?

Thanks , I considered that but Telkom are no help as to which stores have them when I contacted them via Facebook and I can't even seem to find contact numbers for stores either , rather strange way of doing business .

I have a gen 1 Chromecast and it works like a charm. Much better than my Apple TV, in any case. You won't go wrong with a Chromecast.

No, only supported via airplay at the moment.

My Samsung series 8 TV works with what is built in. The HDMI return sends the sound back to the AVR

Sorry to bring up an old thread. Just pulled out my Mygica 852. Can't upgrade higher than it has already (android 4.4) and the DSTV Now app isn't working. Sigh. So where to go from here? Which device? I haven't got an iPad or tablet to cast from. Also don't have a spare kidney to sell. Need something that can do Netflix, DSTV Now. Maybe Showmax if we go that way. Does the Kwese Play allow DSTV Now?

Xiaomi MiBox or Telkom LIT will work (although some have mentioned issues with Netflix on the LIT)

If you already have a laptop or pc with an HDMI output, you can simply use Chrome. This allows for ZERO initial outlay if you want to test the water before laying out extra cash

I have a Mi Box (bought from takealot) and I am unable to install DSTV Now. Anybody aware of the issue or a solution. I don't have the patience to phone multichoice.
