I had a Black & Decker which lasted me a good few years. I miss that thing

Was hoping the SO would buy me another one for xmas last year but no luck :(

Yes, am thinking a Black & Decker. Old school ones were amazing.

It also serves as a "normal" vacuum cleaner, with floor cleaning heads and an extension pipe.
Fair but already have a very good Miele.

Also the Dyson handhelds seem to have shiitty build quality for the price.

The modern ones are a massive improvement over the old school NiCad ones that couldn't vacuum up a bread crumb, and then went flat in 90 seconds.

I've got a Bosch one. Works like a champ.

I got this one a few months ago. The bottom detaches and works as a handheld vacuum. Works great and the battery is more than sufficient to vacuum my floors.
