Anyone know a good VW tech in the East Rand.

My wife's 9N Polo GTI 1.8T has flat spots (surging??) when accelerating above 4000 rpm. Anything under that is fine. (138000km)

I don't know if it is fuel or spark.

Very happy with Engine Techniques in Brackenfell for VW/Audi specialists.

Wackers in Paarden Eiland is also a pretty good VAG specialist.
Thanks for the engine techniques recommendation. Took my car to them for a major service and can say I am more than happy with their service and attitude etc.

I will in future recommend them.

Autowizards in Maitland, Cape Town is really good, owner managed workshop that deals with auto electrical, mechanical and panel beating issues- a one stop shop if you will. Their primary customers are insurance companies but they do private work too. The owner is also very good also at diagnostics- his speciality actually.

Full disclosure I know the guy for 16 years and I've seen him grow from working out the boot of a car to the workshop he currently has.

Can anybody recommend a BMW maccie in Bellville area. My E90 320i is going to need a clutch change soon I suspect. It feels like the car has a touch of Parkinsons on pullaway when cold (clutch pedal shudder).

not aware of any BM mechanics there, but you can try Zeemax in Paarden Island, I fear it will cost quite a bit.

Glad to hear that man.

Sent a few people there and generally get good feedback as long as they just expect good word for good money instead of the whole "dealership experience".

There is a guy in Stikland, called M3 something. Off La Belle Road, right turn by the Sasol, coming from Tygervalley side.
