Glad to hear that man.

Sent a few people there and generally get good feedback as long as they just expect good word for good money instead of the whole "dealership experience".

Also went to them to service my Honda based on this thread. Sure, they don't have "the dealer experience" but they were very friendly and the customer service was great. It's still too early to comment on the quality of the work, and it was only a service, so there's not much that can go wrong (hopefully). Bonus is they are 10 minutes from my house and they charged me R4k less than Honda...

Good stuff.

How on earth could a service be 4K more At Honda?

Quote from Honda: R3800 for the service, R2.5k per set of brake pads. ET did the service and replaced front and rear brake pads and the fanbelt for R5.7k. So probably closer to R3.5k cheaper, but still...

If it includes brakes and that kind of work that makes more sense.

Thought the difference was 4K on a regular service and I was like jeez what is the base cost then.

Anyone can recommend a good mechanic in the Sandton area? I drive a Polo and need someone for normal wear and year items eg: brakes

Seriously, buy brakepads and take it to Supaquick or something to fit. You'll save 50%

Is that not pretty much a VW?
Yes and no.

Generally the software diagnostics system from VW can talk to all VAGs, even Lamborghinis.

The deeper problem would be easy access to parts, which your average VW won't be stocking and won't be able to order simply/cheaply/quickly.

Between Audi and VW the parts lists is more generally shared.

Im looking for a good Audi mech in Bellville Parow region...

Unless you looking for an Audi specialist, try Saban's Mechanical Repairs. He is based in Parow and the only person I trust working on my vehicles. Been using him for over 20 years now and always gives personal and professional treatment and advice.
