Hi All,
Looking for a good mechanic in Brackenfell/Bellville/In-between Area for a Ford, I have a very nice list of what's wrong from the Ford Service center - Hopefully they can beat the price, looking to only lose a toe not an arm and a leg.

Hope someone can recommend me a mechanic. I am looking at these guys: http://www.rosenparkmotors.co.za/
I have two problems that need attention:
Starter motor - probably needs replacement. Horrid sounds on ignition.
Hooter has stopped working - airbag light isn't on so Dr Google says it's probably a connection or wire somewhere. Ford wants to replace the entire hooter system.
Any thoughts anyone?

Is there something else that is not working? Cigarette lighter, radio, interior lights etc? And what Ford is it?

All the other electronics are fine. Fiesta hatchback 1.4 (2005).

My niece has one of those, very tricky electronics, But I am very sure the issue is nowhere close to how complex Ford makes it out to be.
Wires in the engine bay are the ones exposed to the elements and the hooter itself. Easy enough to isolate the hooter, have you tested it?

I just got gifted a 2000 Opel Corsa 1.3 from my mom. The car drives but is in rough shape. The car idles extremely high, it has a tendency to switch off when idling, it jerks when driving and the third spark plug always burns out(the car has been serviced regularly every 6 months). The car has been to several mechanics for the issues mentioned but no one was able to fix it. I'm at a loss and want the car fixed ,so does anyone know of a reliable and honest Opel specialist in the Cape Town area. I've come across Corsa-Tech on facebook but I'm not sure if they are reliable or able to fix the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any recommendations for an independent Nissan mechanic? Need to replace the radiator head and possible head gasket, sensors and temperature gauge on my 2010 Nissan 2.5l Xtrail. The temperature guage is definitely not working as the vechile overheated with no indication and water comes out the exhaust when filling the radiator. Don't want to skim the head, being that it is aluminum, would rather install a new head. While in Midrand am happy to travel further afield for quality work.
