Hi guys, Please recommend a phone for home. Got one from Telkom shop, and it was second from top, but quality is like a toy phone. Luckily (if you return within seven days) they refunded me. Should I get one from Makro or Dionwired, and model please. PS. Also found out they charge you for caller Id ???!!!

Don't know if Telkom still supply them but I've had the DECT DDA100 twin packs for 4 years now. They see heavy use and are still going strong, now on their third set of batteries (last replaced a month ago so a pack is good for about 2 years).

I thought CID was included in all the call plans these days?

The tin canning process was allegedly invented by Frenchman Philippe de Girard and the idea passed to British merchant Peter Durand who was used as an agent to patent Girard's idea in 1810.[3] The canning concept was based on experimental food preservation work in glass containers the year before by the French inventor Nicholas Appert. Durand did not pursue food canning, but, in 1812, sold his patent to two Englishmen, Bryan Donkin and John Hall, who refined the process and product, and set up the world's first commercial canning factory on Southwark Park Road, London. By 1813 they were producing their first tin canned goods for the Royal Navy.
I'm guessing two tin cans and a length of string were in use sooner :D

Yes got the Vtech one that went for R439 also Bluetooth, but it was like talking over walkie/talkie; the quality was that bad, and the display is toy-like. Thought weird they still sell quality like this in this day and age. I guess I'll stick to name brand like Panasonic or Bell from makro. The for info.
