Best place to buy MBP battery?

Where is the best/cheapest place to buy a 13" MBP battery?

Original, generic?

Not sure what the going rate for these things are, but I would assume that this is cheaper than Apple would quote you. Anyway, hope that you come right with this.

Mine's stuffed as well - but think it was always a bit of a dud. The few I looked at on BoB, to their credit said rather try find OEM.

Been toying with going via OWC.

there was / is a ct company that repacked the original apple batteries.
you gave them your dead battery and they repacked.
i remember seeing a lot of people being very impressed with the service and performance (seemingly out performed the original).

if i manage to recall, i'll post details. for some reason, i think (i'm certain) they were in the milnerton / tableview area

A friend had her MBP keyboard replaced by iFix, and she seemed very happy with their service. Not sure if they sell parts or components though. :/

Ended up getting this: Lenmar Chugplug.

Not cheap – might as well have taken my MBP into Core, and have them replace it for me, but cannot really afford to be without my laptop for the week/two that might take... My next MBP will probably still be a 13", so this will still be useful down the line.

So far, really impressed with it. Giving me 3 hours extra juice-time comfortably, so happy with the purchase.
