Hey Guys

Seems there are some of you that keep fishies... I am in the market for a new tank. Currently sitting with a 40L looking at a 100-150L.

Any ideas where to get the best build quality as well as the best price. Seems most pet shops only stock Daro tanks, I currently have with no issues. I would prefer a handmade/custom tank.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure - go ask them. They may be able to refer you to a builder.

I used to get all my marine stock there...

Cool thanks alot, had a look at their website, they only list Dymax tanks. But I will take a drive out there the weekend and have a look.

I just noticed that at Broadacres Shopping Centre (close to Mugg & Bean) a large petshop with a ton of aquariums and accessories opened.

There's also a decent shop at the Leaping Frog IIRC...
And one at Lifestyle centre.

If you want to save a buck, you can look at a second hand one.
If you do, fill it and test for leaks before you buy.
Even leaks are easy to fix.

Otherwise, move to cape town, because, reasons.

I was also going to suggest the 2n'd hand route.

Some great bargains available if you are willing to shop.

I have a pretty decent budget so I would prefer new. I saw a 110L (915 * 325 * 380mm) at Pet Masters in Boksburg for R380. Not a bad price I presume. The rest of the stuff I want like nice substrait from them is *** expensive. But that's not a big hassle as I can get it pretty cheap from my LPS

I used to have two gold fish in a tank but I never saw them. Always hiding away except for feeding time. I think they were being a little coy.

What's that fish on the reef with the bright shiny teeth?

That's a moray...
