Best-rated online tech retailers in South Africa

Hellopeter and Trustpilot reviews show that Takealot is the top-rated technology retailer in South Africa. On the other end of the scale, Makro has the worst average rating.

MyBroadband compared eight online tech retailers — Bob Shop, Everyshop, Game, HiFi Corp, Incredible, Loot.co.za, Makro, and Takealot — using Hellopeter and Trustpilot reviews.

don't trust hellopeter, if you can pay, they will remove any bad review against you.

I removed my account from them long time ago because they are protecting bad business.

google is more reliable imo.

MBB should refrain from using HelloPeter. In recent years, a lot of local fly-by-nights have started creating fake reviews on HelloPeter, and reporting those fake reviews results in no action from HP. Unfortunately the ease of creating fake accounts on HP, results in companies writing their own reviews as there is no way to determine whether a reviewer is an actual customer or a scammer looking to attract business to his scam website.

Makro is my least favourite retailer due to their stop and search policy.
