I'd love for someone to sponsor me an Urban Cruiser, and then also some side money for a 2JZ swap and fuel for a couple of years.

why the dislike?
I honestly don't know, Its not big enough to make it your main family car. You know something I would fill up and use as my car to drive down to Cape Town.

SUV for me should be big, similar size to a Bakkie.

Just my opinion.

These cars also have very small Engines for some reason.

Jimny a SUV ? Lmao.
Looking at these SUV's my Pathfinder is a monster truck.
well the Jimny is probably more capable off-road than all the other softroaders on this list (this includes the R600 000 Fortuner, but probably not the R1.2M Land Cruiser 300 although the 300 has undoubtedly become softer than the 200 and its other Cruiser predecessors)

Yeah I think they threw them in there but the Magnite, Kiger, Venue etc are usually classed as mini SUV or crossover afaik.

I think of them more as sedan replacements as the roads these days need something with tougher suspension
