Just as with Windows drivers, I prefer to go directly to the "manufacturer's" website. Fedora, Centos, Ubuntu, Mint, Arch and probably every other major distro will give you a BitTorrent option.

But... why?

Linux is not Windows...

There is absolutely no reason to download directly off the "manufacturer's" website. Every mirrored download site will have MD5 Checksums, so if you are truly worried about the integrity of a mirrored download, just do an MD5 check against the MD5 checksum file on the "manufacturer's" website.

Personally, I use http://mirror.ac.za

There is not one single reason I could think of to waste additional time (and international bandwidth) on downloading internationally when we have many perfectly good local mirrors.

I agree with you about mirror.ac.za, it is just that the OP was looking for an international "one-stop shop" for torrents (I think). If something like that existed, I would want to go to the distro's site to get md5/sha checksums anyway.

like kasyx states it is very difficult to look past mirror.ac.za unless you are looking for an obscure distro.

Unless you are looking for the distro on release date, the mirrors site is more than enough
