A little off-topic, but how do you get Telkom to do the demo at your place?
I thought that was only for the HomeOffice contracts?

I'm an individual and they came to do a demo for me. They have people from LTE force (and/or Bluetechretail) marketing their products for them and they come do demo's to see if you have LTE in your area.

Hi Guys

I am looking at getting Telkom LTE at my house. What is the way/deal to go about getting it. I really don't want to sign up for a 36/24 month contract.

Is there no Prepaid options available?

I am in the middle of a coverage area in Randburg so don't think coverage would be a problem, the guy is coming Saturday to do the LTE demo.

Thx

Hello!
I suggest that you can configure an original antenna for your router!

Telkom rep did a demo here today, nice to see a solid 40mbit connection, but soooo expensive compared to ADSL.

The best option appears to be :- buy the modem from Makro (R2500), then stick in a Telkom Prepaid 60+ 60GB sim (R1800)
Has anyone tried this?

Exactly what I've done (except I paid R2000 on special at Telkom).

Works for me. See...
