So i'm on the way to Cape Town for the weekend in September. Does anyone know the cheapest possible way to get there (pref some kind of student discount on a plane).

I am a student but can't really afford to waste time getting down or money, any suggestions?

1time or SAA are usually cheapest. Dont know bout any discounts.

Maybe check Gumtree for car pooling options?

SAA has been cheaper than the rest for a while, and I find recently that British Airways is even cheaper than SAA (not a lot cheaper, granted, but if every cent counts, that extra R100 will be useful :)).

Huh?
Their fuel levy alone is more than a kulula flight.

I am planning a few trips to/from Jhb-CT in the coming months, and trust me, I have looked at every single airline each time. I've looked at at least 4 different date options for September/October (haven't quite decided when I'm going to do the trip yet), and SAA and BA have, without exception, been cheaper than the rest. Mango does come in just behind SAA. Kulula has been excessive in comparison. Ditto for 1time.

buses are only about 200 cheaper than planes, rather save that on the 18 hours ill save on a plane. Looks like there is no better way.

He means that he cannot waste any time getting to Capetown (short holiday) or wasting a lot of money getting here , Eg toll gates, traffic fines, etc etc etc

DO NOT TAKE A BUS!

...I swear to you you will live to regret it ...if you live.

Just to be perfectly clear here: Do. Not. Take. A. Bus.

I will not fly SAA again, ever. Must be the ****tiest bunch of jerks ever :(
BA is the best, but if cost is a concern, do 1time.
Just look and you will notice that there is times in the day where it is cheaper to fly than say morning or afternoon.
