Best way to spend R1 million

So me and my friend recently discussed what would be the best way to spend R1 million and make some money back?
What would be good options to make profit, what are good start-ups to invest in or is it best to let the money grow in Sanlam's hands?

parking bays in CT CBD

no maintenance, minimal risk, income is steady

the OP used the term "invest" in start ups which suggests the OP is looking for some sort of investment

you don't make investment decisions with a 3 month time horizon, if you do, you are probably not a good investor to begin with

huh? You'd need to be earning pretty little to earn a bar in a "lifetime".

Point is a bar isn't all that much in the grand scheme of things so the question isn't necessarily hypothetical. Sure it is given OPs tone, but still.
