Best wireless broadband networks in South Africa

when i was on vodacom i never got those speeds, not even in the middle of durban.

obviously vodacom's servers put a preferece on speedtest.net data down/uploads.
 
Since when is "best" = "fastest"?
8ta covers a minute portion of SA so should not even be included.
 
Was MTN's soft cap on their uncapped products considered in this speed test? Surely that would affect their speed average.
 
What use are these tests when everyone's experience differs?

One network may take all the awards, but when the users are still struggling at the ground level it is useless comparing it.

Agree. Although I had to buy an 11dBi external antenna as I was just outside the 3G coverage map, I connect to the Wynburg (Cape Town) tower from deepest Plumstead at 87dB and get 2.5Mb/s to 4.5Mb/s local and 30ms to 250ms ping. High jitter/variation but im not complaining (for R199/10Gig!), im sure it will settle down once the configuration is complete.
 
I work in Rosebank and Sandton.(Which should be the Cream to be in, tech and business wise.). I am lucky If I get Edge on 3 bars. Dunno from which hat they pulled those figures...
At Home it is even worse..
