BEWARE of Cell C's very bad DNS Server

Most Cell C default internet settings automatic setup the DNS Server as Dynamic and that use their two DNS servers 41.157.83.51 and 41.157.83.50.

After struggling for more than a week to connect to our DATACENTER's own websites such as www.gnax.net and get Server Not found error messages and nslookup as well as ping don't work, I found that it's the Cell C DNS Server that seems in a big mess.

To fix this problem and prevent perhaps a hell lot of "Server Not Found" issues change the Dynamic DNS to Static DNS with IP addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google's public dns servers)

Wow Cell C.

Can't you even manage a simple DNS server properly?

Don't think the problem is with Cell C's DNS servers. I also get the "Server not found" for the site www.gnax.net from MWeb.

Nslookup on Mweb and Google DNS servers resolves the IP, but I cannot ping or browse the site. I don't think the issue is with Cell C here...

Your dns might be cached. I cleared the cache (ipconfig /flushdns) after changed to google dns. (And the network connection must be restarted). I by the way double checked. Changed to google DNS, clear cache and restart. works fine. Revert back to Cell C, clear cache and restart connection. don't work, Again repeated the procedure and got the same results.
