Beware of this banking scam in SA: Sabric

People are being defrauded of money by being told that their suppliers have changed banking details, the SA Banking Risk Information Centre said on Monday

This scam has been around for years, I doubt that any halfway decent creditors department would fall for it - with the exception of government entities

She said consumers should question whether well-known companies would change their banking details without notifying people through more formal channels.

And I say that banks should start making FICA work for consumers.
