could this be the reason why we lag behind ethiopia?
and i'm not tired of telkom's story about people in the east all living in high-rise buildings. while that may be true to some extent, it's just a generalisation. china is a developing country, most people still live in villages or suburbs. yet they are enjoying similar speed, prices and market penetration as south korea or japan.
But in the case of broadband, at least looking at the East Asian situation compared with that of the West, it appears as if the political will of the leaders and aggressive government policies to promote Internet or broadband are the leading factors for success.
