Big broadband shock for South Africa

I can well believe this.....My TelkomInternet ISP effective dies after 7pm to a point where im forced to switch to WebAfrica. Now that account is much faster. This change occurred roughly at the time when Ranger and the boys started fiddling with traffic priorities last year March or so.

Sorry but how is this shocking?????

Shocking that it's an typical Africa achievement. I do not know who expected any better. They, the SA idiots in Government allowing this, MTN, CellC, Voda, DSTV, Mweb, Telkom, Afrihost, et al will milk us dry till the last drop of blood then move on to the next batch of victims.

Yup it's amazing how we just accept everything. How did apartheid end again?????
I'm amazed it ever did.

When did we become monopoly free again...... This hasn't solved anything yet... They still milking us dry for every penny we have bring on naked dsl... then you'll see them cripple cause their infrastructure won't be able to manage the demand. We have the capacity available to talk overseas ... 10 years ago we didn't...

Nothing unexpected.

haha, "massive broadband shock"

Maybe for JStrike, but the rest of us have been dealing with this reality for years.

Ohmygawd. The logical next step is to check if any white engineers remain at Telkom and fire them.

global average connection speed remained 4.5Mbps

4Mbps ... soooo close.

TIA, business as usual etc etc

I'm not shocked at all ~ Gov is hellbent on driving this country into the ground to spite white people or something? I dunno, seems like they're trying to drive anyone/everyone out that can actually leave, and then what?

While bad overall numbers, those are nice growth rates
