Big Local WTF?

Right I am busy trying to download freeBSD 6.1 from a local ftp site.

ftp.is.co.za - max speed (using a download manager) was 12kb/sec
ftp.sun.ac.za - max speed (also using a download manager) was 6kb/sec
ftp.saix.co.za - latest version of FreeBSD they have is 5.1

Any clue why its so slow? Is it my connection or their ftp servers?

Also does anyone know any other local servers I could get FreeBSD 6.1 from?

Nevermind, found a local ftp that is finally giving me the 400kb/sec i deserve.

They've got mirrors for FreeBSD, Gentoo, Centos and some other stuff I can't remember.

Last month's PC Format. Or was that the month before? It may have been - I now have about 4 distros on PC Format DVDs from the past few months.
