It drops for Xmas but will come back up!!!

No.

first Tuesday in January...

First Wednesday.

They are smoking their socks, the current over recovery is around 6-9c/l on petrol due to the weak rand even though oil prices have come down a lot. The weak rand has nearly cancelled out the 30-40c/l over recovery had it been stable

The fuel price here in Oman does not change. Yay.

It's been R3.36/L since I moved here in August. V8 cars are quite common.

Sorry, just had to put it out there. :)

Price only stays down for a month or 2 then they hit us again with an increase.

Judging by the oil price it should come down by more than that, or it should also come down again next month by about the same amount

Look at the exchange rate as well, we've slid a bit recently...

I'd rather pay higher fuel prices here than live in Oman.

Water only costs me R24 a month sorry had to put that out there. Petrol might be cheap but your water isn't.

That's not a huge drop. Add another zero to that figure then it's huge.
