Big revelations in Bitcoin Brothers saga

Raees and Ameer Cajee, the brothers who founded of cryptocurrency investment scheme Africrypt, bought citizenship from the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu, an investigation by The Guardian has revealed.

According to the report, the Cajee brothers are among more than 2,000 people who bought citizenship in 2020 using the country's controversial "golden passports" scheme.

A Vanuatu passport would give the brothers visa-free access to several countries, including the UK and European nations within the Schengen Area.

Why would it be surprising that people would want a passport besides their SA one? It's just good strategy to have a plan B, even if you don't plan on swindling millions/billions and just hedge your risk of 1 country citizenship.

This whole story smells like that they absconded with the money, never to be seen again. I bet they are somewhere, tanning in the sun, sipping mai tai, with a fat wallet.
...add a few bikini-clad money-chasing silicone-enhanced skanks and you are just about there

There are a lot of people who know their faces and what they have done and how much money they might have. Unless they spend significant amounts of their money on security, my guess is that they end up in a shallow grave after being forced to transfer that money.

you forgot the passport ( and $150,000 ....bleh. make it a nice round $10mil )

I only need $150k to buy Vanuatun citizenship, then I live a gentle life hunting turtles and dugongs for sustenance. I am not an ambitious man.

This doesnt mean they are there, it just means they bought it. Like many of us would like but Vanuatu? Really? Their houses are cheap though, and you are practically living in New Zealand and Aus anyway.

There is however a few billion people in SA. But not many in vanuatu.

The question is are they real? Because the other MMI one I am still unsure of.

Say what? This isn't India or China - the only 2 countries that have a billion plus population.

So everything is supposed to be transparent with this Bitcoin but what's the use when billions of transactions are being done.

Their main objective was most likely to get a widely accepted passport so they can move freely.
