Big threat to DStv in South Africa

DSTV and Showmax streaming is the most amateur crap apps out there. Full of bugs and crap South African local shows.

Wasn't too impressed with Amazon prime tbh..
Yeah, it's a bit lightweight.
One or two shows like the grand tour that aren't too bad, but for the most part, it's lightweight.
As for amazon.co.za - the jury's out on this one. Not sure what difference having Amazon here will help when it'll be cheaper to buy from Amazon.com or .co.uk most of the time.

I've found myself watching far more Prime than Netflix. Their originals are just so much better and less cookie cutter than Netflix.

A few things I can recommend watching in case anyone is looking for something watch:

* The Boys
* Gen V
* The Grand Tour
* Upload
* The Expanse
* Lower Decks
* Totally Killer
* Dead Loch
* Shelter
* The Consultant
* The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart
* Clarksons Farm
* The Devils Hour
* The Peripheral
* Good Omens
* Invincible
* The Upside
* The Marvelous Mrs Maisel
* Goliath
* The Covenant
* Reacher

And then they have a decent catalogue of non Prime Originals.

Netflix on the other hand I think I've watched maybe 3 of their originals in the last year, and in the last 3 months only 2 things in total on Netflix.

Strange about The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.

I'm an active poster in the Series thread & every time I brought up this show's last season there was the impression it was dwindling quality (for many).

I've watch all Seasons & felt they ended of the finale was done in a good/fair manner. the fan would be satisfied.

No sport, no deal.

Primes been here 3 and a half years??

Hope with Amazon's "arrival" we'll get Amazon Freevee also

Is prime not already available but in USD?

IMO it's not purely the sport issue, it's that their support for the "top" two movie channels and M-Net would become too weakened if sport was allowed to separate.
Then separate those as well.

At R79pm, it is not breaking the bank. Dont watch it, but I dont watch Netflix either.

Family watches, therefore I pay for it.

Currently pay for the following:

Netflix - full SA version
Google family
Prime

Showmax gives me HBO for R99

Can't beat this.

MultiChoice+TakeALot+MrDelivery need to combine and give us something like
DStv premium, showmax unlimited Takealot and Mr Delivery order delivery for R499
