Biggest waste of time and money

Well I just tried from someone's pc that is fully up to date with Lich King and the trial did not work.

What was the error message when you tried to log in with your trial account on that pc? That would give us a better idea on what is actually wrong. It sounds to me that you created the trial account on the wrong region (EU vs. US)

we did, apparently thats quite a common solution. I've just come home from a friend who is also fully up to date with all expansions and my trial account didn't work there either. I'm gonna go onto LOTRO

I've copied my directory to a few friends and they all started with trial accounts that worked perfectly.

weird installed 3 of my friends games this week who started over on EU, they copied my game and trial worked perfectly. Also the downloader saves all updates u could have just update the game fully again without downloading anything

I've been trying since friday night to get this up and running and I now give up!

I installed the game plus all expansions and patches. Created a trial account and the game wouldn't recognize my trial because BC and WotLK were installed. I uninstalled everything, reinstalled only WoW and tried to login. Then it started with the updates.

First it was a 1 gig update, the downloader popped up and I went to bed. Turns out the downloader is a p2p thing and over the course of the night I downloaded next to nothing but uploaded over a gig. The downloader ran all day and finally finished just after 7 tonight. Then there was another smalish download and now I need to download a 3.2 Gig update?!

WTF blizzard?! Just WTF!

So now I have to pay for 6-7gigs bandwidth to get this update? No freaking way! Can't believe I've wasted my whole weekend on this and so much money on bandwidth. what a load of crap.

Blizzard, you FAIL!

You blame Blizzard because you have bandwidth constraints ?

99% of their customers dont have a problem with the downloader. Blame Telkom or ICASA

Blizzard should actually like, give a CD with the gamecards you buy, with ALL the latest updates and patches. (Then we would also know exactly how old the card is)

this is a waste mate, remember its only in south africa where we have these rediculuse ISP problems.
if you stick upto date with the patches then it barly chows your cap, only when you download anything at once does

Blizzard doesn't fail, Telkom does. This would be a non-issue for most countries. You can't blame Blizzard for our problems.

The downloader also clearly states that it makes use of P2P, which you can deactivate.

Blizzard is not know to fail, other then in PVP but thats another story....
