Let's post here suggestions to the billing system you wish to have at your billing server. What important qualities it should possess? Under which OS should it run: Windows/Linux/FreeBSD? What database should it support (like MySQL/MSSQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle)?

Quality software should be cross-platform and should be able to use any database that supports ANSI SQL

You are quite right. We have already developped it, and applied it for more than 1500 customers. But no one should stop to achieve perfection, yeah? )
