Copy of email just sent to WBS:

On 28/09/2005 I phoned WBS to downgrade from the 1 Gig package to I-Go. I was told that this would take effect on 1st Novemember and that I needed to confirm by email. I was given Marry-Ann Jansens email address and I sent her an email requesting the same. I have a "read" receipt from her on the 29/09/2005.

On the November billing run I was still debited with R469 instead of R299.

I phoned WBS yesterday (01/12/2005) to make sure that this is sorted out. I spoke to Pinky in accounts and gave her all the details. She promised to call me back but still hasnt. I called WBS later as I couldnt get through to Pinky on her direct line and asked the support desk to get a message to her.

I was again debited R469 for December yesterday.

As far as I am concerned, WBS owes me the difference of R469 - R299 x 2 and I demand that this be sorted out and that someone get back to me to let me know that this has happened.

My user name is ******* and my telephone number is ********

I can't believe that WBS still cannot sort out the most basic of accounting queries, and get monthly billing _right_ !

There billing department is shocking!!!

A customer of mine signed up in Feb this year, they discovered that WBS has not taken a cent off their account the whole time(can you believe it)... being the honest people that they are they had to notify WBS to sort this out.

On another WBS billing issue(which is probably connected), My supplier has not been paid a cent commission for all the iBurst contracts he has sold since the begining of the year which intern results in me not recieving a cent too. I've become so disillusioned with the WBS business that I've stopped promoting the product.

I've found the product good generally but they just don't seem to know how to run a business.

Yup. Gave a months notice to cancel my two IBurst accounts (in October). Next day I went to the bank and told them that if WBS take off any amount at the end of November that I will hold the bank liable. Sure enough they tried, and failed. Today I got an account that says I owe them for December. Funny enough, I have no service from either account (both user/passes fail).

I'm not sure if I should just ignore it, or if I should spend the time fixing their sh*t up

Cheers

Iburst is the worst service provider.

The accounts deparment is shocking, my agreement with wbss to debit my account once a month for R699. Today they decided to debit my account for R2055.86. It seems that they are not complting with their own agreement.

In one year i have had so many problems with the accounts department that i would rather use telkom whom i despise.

My other problem with iburst is how slow the upload rate is. It can take me days to upload a 45 Meg file to a local server!!!! It seems as though the bandwidth has been optimised for 99.9999999999999% download and zero upload priority.

I have absoluetly had it with iburst. Telkom is a much better option.....

Anybody want my iburst modem ?

arghhhh

I am also going to cancel my iGo account - they have'nt charged me for 2 months now and besides it is too expensive for a mobile connection - will use my cell phone. Will miss the speed though - It is a great pity they cannot get their Admin together, it would have been a great product.

I am a fairly new subscriber to Iburst (been a user for one month) and have followed these forums very closely. I have no major gripes with the actual service *searches for some wood* until now, that is.

I was meant to be debited for my first month's usage plus the full cost of the UTC on 1st December and lo and behold nothing came off my bank account. Judging from what I have read here I just *know* I am going to get cut off if I don't sort it out. Sigh. And its not exactly a small amount so it needs to come off soon.

Will keep you posted on my joys of dealing with accounts dept.

They double debited me in April, refunded the money in June, and now have decided to take the money off again in December. This is after I cancelled Iburst entirely in August.

Try and sort it out!!!! -standard replies: "in a meeting" - "person I need to speak to is out" - "will call you back" (virtual promise) - etc etc.
