Hey guys,

My connection to BF2 has been dropping since i've got this new Billion 5102G router. Previous Marconi worked fine...but it sucked compared the Billion.

I ran the diagnostics test and these are my resulys:

>> Testing Ethernet LAN connection .... PASS
>> Testing ADSL Synchronization .... PASS
>> Testing ATM OAM segment ping ... FAIL
>> Testing ATM OAM end to end ping ... FAIL

>> Ping Primary Domain Name Server ....PASS
>> Ping www.yahoo.com ....PASS

I get a FAIL on ATM OAM test! Can someone help? I don't know if this is a important? How can i fix it?

Could someone pls help. Thanx

Telkom uses PPPoE (Ethernet) and not PPPoA (ATM) for their ADSL setup so this test will fail.

You can ignore this error.

Hi

The reason for the failure is not the router that fails this ATM test. Telkom does not support the ATM loopback test that the router is trying to do. So it will fail cause it is not supported on any of the DSLAM's.

Does your whole connection drop then come back up? check that your disconnect timeout value is set to 0...

I think it's here: I just got this router today, so I could be wrong,

click interface setup>internet>check at the connection settings that it's set to always on(recommended) and the connect on demand is 0

Hope that helps ;)
