Black Business Council president Sandile Zungu told the publication that he was disheartened to see these corrupt businesspeople benefit from his lobbying.

“We now have to put it on record that these are not black businesses, but thieves,” Zungu said.

He called the beneficiaries of these corrupt contracts “parasitic COVIDpreneurs” who rob authentic and ethical black businesses of the opportunity to do legal business with the government.

“South Africa is becoming a nation of thieves, with the most unscrupulous enablers in official positions all too ready to feast on the relief meant for the most vulnerable in our society.”

Part of a culture which pre-dates the arrival of any settlers.
When Shaka, Mzilikazi, Dingaan etc wanted the property (women & cattle) of other tribes they took what they wanted and burned what could not be carried away.
We see it nearly every day, particularly in the Western Cape and in certain American cities.

Who wudda thought that giving a corrupt government a blank cheque to procure goods with a corrupt procurement system like BEE would result in anything else than a feeding frenzy?

Oh yes, Ramaphosa and his "we are led" supporters.

Wait, it's OK to say black business but we have to remove the word black when referring to thieves? Is that what he said? What a weird comment.

If a business wants to get 'the tender' they will need to put some grease.
So how exactly can any honest business ever do any work for corrupt government?

The government enables this kind of behaviour.
