Hi all,

I'm looking for the opinions/experiences of people who have given birth using Discovery KeyCare Plus. Based on my checks, maternity cover is similar on the sub R2000 plans apart from the restriction of specific hospitals one can use.

Which hospital did you use in Joburg north?

Thanks

Thanks for this. I do have this information, but I'm more looking for someone's personal experience on key care plus. Was everything paid for?

Can't comment on which hospital.

My child was born while on KeyCare Plus. We used Roseacres in Germiston. My child was in NICU for 7 days. Everything was paid for. Just check on who they use for any blood work that needs to be done in hospital.
Ampath tests are outsourced mostly and they do not submit these claims to the hospital for payment.

My Son was born 2 years ago on keycare. We used Garden City , everything was covered besides half the fees for the anaesthetist because they charged a rate 200 % . It worked out to R2000 to be paid from my side.
