Bitcoin hits R1.5 million

The price of Bitcoin shot past R1.5 million overnight on South Africa's largest crypto asset exchanges as it topped $89,000 per coin internationally.

This comes after Bitcoin completed its fourth halving event in April — a mechanism built into the blockchain's protocol that halves the rewards paid to miners for validating transactions.

wait till BTC pops, but as somebody with a small amount of BTC on the line right now,
this is always the game, when do you cash out to ensure some profits

It's an awful lot to pay for a square nanometer of electromagnetic real estate.

Think I'll take advantage of the lower silver price instead.

What goes up, must come down.
Yes but it never goes down to previous lows so kind of a moot point for the long-term monkeys who never cash out and enjoy some profits.

Pretty pissed, missed my opportunity back then wanted to put a large amount but chickened out.

Maybe next time.

Don't stress about it.
We all have a story like that.
Mine was in 2012 when I decided that R9K for an AMD Radeon 6990 that could mine a coin a week at the time was too expensive to justify...

Which coin will be the next Bitcoin?

Dethroning the king hasn't happened in 16 years so doubt it'll happen now.

However, with Musk's fat little fingers up the new US administration's arse, it might be a worthwhile idea to get some Dogecoin... as lame as it is.

Only a matter of time before he drops "Department Of Government Efficiency" bombs all over the place that could have the sycophants jumping to get their hands on doge.
