Bitcoin's worst crash in a year and a half

Bitcoin plunged to the lowest in about 18 months in Asia trading Monday as the impact of Friday’s shock US inflation data continued to reverberate through global risk assets.

The world’s largest digital token tumbled as much as 8.9% to $24,903.49 — its lowest since December 2020. Other cryptocurrencies also declined as a broader sell-off continued.

Spot buying and chilling. Still got funds waiting for lower. Play the long game and ignore the short term noise.
62% nuke from the ATH in Nov 21' when people were lining up in queues to buy, and now nobody wants it

Problem comes in when certain platforms limit buying/selling during these market crashes. Then again, it happened to MANY banks during the past 150 years so it's not necessarily a bad indictment for the smaller crypto-houses.

I wonder how the markets will react when they finally realise all these rate hikes won't really solve the bloody inflation problem...Eco101 books burning in the carpark since COVID and the Russia/Ukraine war.

who exactly got shocked by the US inflation data?

they've printed their way out of every crises, ever since 2008 it has been patently obvious that the day will come to pay the piper

it's not even surprising, never mind "shocking" ... or is it that people are actually still gullible enough to believe the Fed can reign this in with rate hikes?

Well the upside is that its happy hour in the second-hand GPU market. All the internet financial advisers selling their "assets" below cost

I hardly see any used specials. I do, however, see mining power decrease in some places, but it is increased in other places. Farming continues, it is the small-scale peeps being reluctant, particularly those who mine to sell.

My interest is only in seeing the retail market to stabilise.

I see a 3080 is 16k now was around 30-35k 12-18 months ago/. Definitely going to dollar cost average into bitcoin at 25k, 22k and 20k if it gets that low. Great news for anyone with liquidity I guess

Time for the cripto-bro's to become motivational speakers again. Has anyone noticed how many fake Insta and FB friend requests are coming through lately? Not the best way to sell your faux currency.

Lol, it's shamelessly hilarious!

Bitcoin is heading towards $10k and perhaps even lower in the next couple of months as market routs continue.

Michael Saylor in real trouble, don't think we will see it dip below $20k but who knows
