BitTorrent/UTorrent issue since latest update

I've been having issues with BitTorrent since I updated it to 7.10 a couple of weeks ago. It doesn't respond as below when opening it up or loading a new torrent. Sometimes it works but very rarely and I don't know why if it does work. I've set it to run as administrator and don't have any antivirus/firewalls installed. Running Windows 7.

I tried both UTorrent and BitTorrent and both have exactly the same issue. Also have uninstalled and reinstalled both programs and have tried installing an older version. I get the issue with the old 7.9 version too which has worked flawlessly for years.

Try uninstalling uTorrent, delete the uTorrent folder in User/AppData/Roaming, then re-install.

BitComet is a mature soft. It had been hampered by integrating adware, but disabling is just a matter of setting up few options.

Just uninstall the newer versions and stick to the last version without adverts. Make sure you disable updates.

Do not bother with new versions of uTorrent. If magnet links don't work, uninstall your version of uTorrent, reset your browser, and install 2.2.1.

Using version 1.46 on Win7, it works on magnet links. Perhaps uninstall and reinstall as suggested.

I haven't updated uTorrent since installing it the day that Windows 10 released (3.4.7). Just disabled ads and left it at that. Works fine, downloads go at line speed.

Using BitComet for like ever, however, some magnetic links never seem to open whilst others take a short time. Any ideas. Win 10 (32 bit and Chrome).

I've been using transmission-qt for windows, and it's been reasonable. I had a few tiny issues with it 'forgetting' some of my upload speed settings, but nothing that hampers my downloads.

There are other apps that suffer from the same issue when your PC suddenly shuts down while the app was open. Don't know if this is what happened.
