Not sure how useful it is yet but it seems to have a deeper integration onto the system than google assistant. It can it change system settings e.g. change brightness and reboot your phone. AFAIK google assistant could not do that.

Yep, and also some integration into the Google Apps and other 3rd party apps which is cool.

But yeh, I have no use case where I would need to use my voice instead of my hands

I use Bixby basically as a hands free kit while in the car as I can only listen to music via an AUX cable. So now I can play certain songs and skip songs as I please without touching my phone. It is also convenient to create a reminder when driving. But I am yet to find another use for It.

To me it is still a bit gimmicky.
Something so new will probably take a while to get used to, and I can't see myself using it all day everyday.
It has some nice features, but it will be a steep learning curve to understand the full potential.
I think most phone users also don't use their devices to the full extent that the manufacturers intended, and while Bixby might be very useful to some, the vast majority will only use skim the surface when it comes to using features.

Bixby was launched today worldwide. I played around with it a bit after setting it up. I must say, i like how it works, not that I'm going to use it on a daily basis. Mostly for fun yes.

Will you be using it a lot??

How much XP do you have?

This is my take on Bixby ...I am on Level 7
I use Bixby for the phone stuff/actions
eg.
Take a screenshot ( very helpful feature )
Open Notifications ,swipe left or right .
Read my last sms /email .
Open Quick settings panel ( to turn on data or whatever ?)
Open settings etc
so the more you interact with Bixby the easier it gets .
Above actions Google assistant cannot do ?( or am i wrong ?)

However ,
Google Assistant is the best for the more complex stuff (My favorite )
So i combine the 2 for best results .!

Certain functions,
i would agree on being
a gimmick.

For me i use Bixby as a supplementary
tool to Google Assistant.
eg. try the "take screenshot" command.
it's better than trying to swipe
your palm or button combinations.!

or / the wake up command "hi Bixby".
Google Assistant is supposed
do do, this but i am sure Samsung
block this OK Google wake up function ?

So now, you use a work around,
"Hi Bixby " phone wakes,
then "OK Google" command" ...... proceed
with Google Assistant......!

Bottom line,
If you don't like it, don't use it.!

I still don't understand why you put a carriage return after every few words.

Also have you created any quick commands? Those I find probably the most useful, where you can string multiple command together with one custom phrase.

Firstly, your first question,
maybe a bad habit? Who knows.?

Anyway your other question
I have tried to keep my commands
reasonably short and simple.
For me i use Bixby for a few
tasks, that i believe is getting
monotonous for me ?
eg back space, go Homescreen, screenshot, etc.
(no need for button presses)

So if i am in a application.
eg Google Play store i, just say back or Go Homescreen.
I am not interested in asking
Bixby to do any fancy stuff.
Use Bixby as a supplementary tool
