Blackberry on GSM mode CellC

Hi my wifes and my BIS stopped working yesterday afternoon. we are on MTN prepaid. we are in cape town

seems to be a problem with RIM again. Anyone else having issues?

I have been having the same issue on my 9780 for about a week or so. Thought it was my phone as none of my colleague's have this problem... I am on MTN in Cape Town.

Just a correction, that small G stands for gprs, E for edge.

GSM is the set of network standards our operators in south Africa and most internationally work with except china, America's and Japan.

RIM...it was clever of them to Invent BIS, especially in a country like this.

Its probably connection to RIM because everyone is downloading ****ing movies and ****

There have been reported issue of a break in the seacom cable.
This is what is causing slow to non working BIS for some people.
