BlackBerry sale may be concluded as soon as November: WSJ

Microsoft is a front runner in this one with its emphasis on enterprise.

I can see it happening.

It also answers the question why BBM was not brought to Windows Phone. Because it will be part of the valuation to MS.

I didn't know they were actually selling..

/Google here I come...

What from Blackberry would MS actually want?... Do you mind detailing that?

That and the QNX OS...

Why would they want the QNX OS when they have their own very very capable NT Kernel based mobile OS?

As for the patents, yes, possibly, but unless BlackBerry break themselves up, then the patents alone will not justify the price they'll want to get.

Some chinese company will probably buy it, the US will get all paranoid that they are being spied on and ban the use of blackberries in government.

I see this one as a Patent grab, and will not be surprised if Apple end up buying em.

Google -> Motorola
Microsoft -> Nokia
Apple -> Blackberry

Circle would then be complete :D

Their server software for one. Active Sync and BES run very nicely once you get the hand of it and it would give Microsoft more of an edge in getting into government. Even if another company buys it, I'd like to see how BB10 will be treated.

Because they can move into the car market with more penetration on QNX.

You still have a BlackBerry? :erm:

:p

You took the post wrong - I went to Google.com to look up on the story of BlackBerry selling their sinking ship. As for my cell phone - it's an iPhone.
