Also saw that but then I saw dlk said couldnt agree less shouldnt he have said couldnt agree more ? :D

He agrees with you wholeheartedly, I think. [Hint: 2 negatives make positive. ]

I couldn't agree less with orin76. Education and Access to Information is one of the biggest empowerments deals that would benefit the masses.

Opportunists are in every race. Every race has found loopholes in the BEE policies and is abusing them. What seem to make headlines are always the politicians who “instantly” benefit from these deals. Look behind most BEE deals and you will find many other beneficiaries.

What I’m really opposed to is the abuse of State Resources to benefit few individuals (Black and White). That has been the downfall of BEE. “A Nation dies because of one person – Isizwe sifa ngomuntu omunye”.

"the safety net of guaranteed wealth if you are black and educated should be taken away "

But telkomsuig, that is not true. This perceived safety net of guaranteed wealth is closer to being a "Politician" than to being "Black and Educated".

It's all about who your friends are. If you have the connections, you'll get the wealth.

True and that doesnt matter if you are black or white. But I wonder what job offers you will get if you sign-up with friends of jz club ? :D

If you are fit for a super corporation's boardroom, you have to be able to create your own super corporation.

Stop complaining and create your own super corporations if you need to serve on such a board - stress and responsibility included.

english is my fourth language, but still IMO, these 2 should be logically equivalent though prevalent use is more

I couldnt agree more =
Even if I wanted, i could not agree more than I agree now =
I agree

I couldnt agree less =
Even if I wanted, i could not agree less than I agree now =
I agree

Linguists anyone? :p

I am not a linguist, but to me:
I couldn't agree less
= Even if I wanted, i could not agree less than I agree now
= Even if I wanted, I could not disagree more
= I fundamentally disagree

At least, that's how I read it.

Me too, but Raoul's logic almost makes sense. I really had to think about it :)

:) Thanks raoul, that was is very informative.

I'm already at a limit of agreeing - either the minimum or the maximum.

It is probably more appropriate to say “I couldn’t agree more” since I totally agree with what orin76 was saying even if I wanted to agree more.

Just so I don't confuse myself, I totally agree with orin76

Satoshi Kanazawa, an evolutionary psychologist, is now accused of reviving the politics of eugenics by publishing the research which concludes that low IQ levels, rather than poverty and disease, are the reason why life expectancy is low and infant mortality high. His paper, published in the British Journal of Health Psychology, compares IQ scores with indicators of ill health in 126 countries and claims that nations at the top of the ill health league also have the lowest intelligence ratings.

Societies in my opinion are organisms. You cannot judge it by looking at individuals who are successful. Look at the bulk. That is where the answer lies.

If one were to take Nelson Mandela as representative of the average black man on the street, they would all be good natured, Ghandi loving lawyers...

Reality is far from that...
