Block network routing

Greetings,

I play Fortnite on Axxess and connect to the EU servers. Lately, since about 3 weeks ago or so, I would connect to a server where my ping is sporadic jumping as high as 300ms and as low as 180ms with an average of 220 with an average of 5% packet loss and then the next game I connect to a different server where my ping would be normal.

I've asked Axxess about it, but their technical support aspect is pretty useless just doing a bot response of "we're sorry, we've reset your line, please switch your router off and on again" and I've also asked Epicgames and that is even more pointless support. So I would like to find out from the networking savvy people here, how would I go about tracking the traceroute or w/e of this server and either somehow fix it, or just totally blocking the connection towards this server?

And if even more possible, there's a server I connect to seldomly where my ping is a glorious 129ms, I would definitely not mind JUST connecting to that server even if it means waiting a bit longer in the queue, any way to do this?

I don't play these games, so I am not too sure how the servers are defined.

Either way, if there's somewhere you can specify a server, then for sure you should manually specify the one that gives you the best ping.

If that's not possible, then look into editing your HOSTS file. Hopefully you know the DNS name of the server your game contacts. You can give it a 'fixed' IP in the hosts file, making sure to use the IP of the best server. I doubt Axxess is really at fault in this case, but of course, I don't know everything :) Hope this helps.

If you were to have or acquire a copy of netlimiter you could check the ips your game is connected to at the time of the issues, and tracert accordingly

Axxess might be at fault, because my cousin is on Afrihost (however it's fibre and I'm ADSL) and he doesn't report that issue
Do I acquire the DNS by by doing? \/

Isn't there a free netlimiter type software?

Resource Monitor thats built into windows gives the TCP connection info to a degree, just harder to read
