Blocking of adult content

Vodacom3G, maybe you can help:

I bought a 3G/HSDPA card last week and tried to activate the blocking of adult content on my the new simcard, by dialling *111*123#, after which I received a message that it was successful. Upon testing however, it seemed that adult sites were still not blocked. I logged a query with Vodacom, upon which they replied that according to the VAS division, the procedure to block adult content has been suspended until further notice.

Any idea why this important service has been suspended and when it will be reinstated again?

No, but I'll find out. I was under the impression that adult content was blocked by default and you have to unblock it yourself. Obviously something is broken.

Take your ID and phone to a Vodashop to get it unblocked. They check that you are over 18.

Take your ID to any Vodashop to prove that you are older than 18 years of age and they will unblock it for you. Download the necessary and then dial *111*123# again to block adult content. Remember adult content is not porn only - it also includes gaming, dating, violence, etc.
