There are many rich black people in South Africa. They got rich for many of the same reasons white or coloured people get very rich.

Education, opportunity, influence and power.

Take away the above, and you get people stuck in their circumstances.

Do you only have meat at a braai?

To me, it's a ritual started by lighting a fire (Wood, not charcoal) while enjoying stimulating conversation and drinks with good friends and family. Once the coals are ready and there is a side fire ensuring a constant supply of coals, the meat is put on the grid while the roast veg or stir fry is put onto the grid a bit later in a cast iron pan. On the side, a bread is baking inside a cast iron pan with a lid while the coals cook maize meal in a three legged pot.

All served with a salad and feta cheese. and a geselsvuurtjie afterwards.

Sounds balanced to me.
