That's the one, what do we think?
Bro it's nice. I was just like you, came from an Atos (precursor to i10) and went into a new Renault Sandero ... which I hated so much I traded it in within six months and lost R50 000 on the deal. A BMW (even an entry-level one) is just a different class. It won't be your permanent car and you *will* get frustrated with its slow speed eventually, but for right now? It's not a lot of money and not a lot of risk. If you've got a solid warranty, you're reasonably covered.

Honestly it looks really neat (on paper), excellent mileage *but* still sounds like too much for that generation + the weaker engine + very basic ito spec.

If the last 2 points don't bother you do much then consider it.

I will still say take your ~R140k & look at an early F20 shape.

It screams - I just want to drive a status symbol for external validation but I can only afford an old base model.

If you really must get a BMW then go for a newer model with more features, else look at other manufacturers. R140K is plenty in the used car market.

Lol Fiesta ... I set "All BMW in Western Cape, under R150 000 and under 85 000km". There were only three options coming back: two were listings for the original thread here and one was for that one. You go find the cheap low-mileage BMW you keep talking about.

why not look at an i20 or something

bmw you only buying for the little looks and that 1 series isnt even that good looking
My htoughts as well. Why buy a BMW if you are only buying the 1.6 with no luxuries? Just because of the BMW badge?

Shame, there was a beautiful 130i here on the forum about a month ago for sale. That would have been an awesome buy. I kinda wish I had gone for it.
