BMW launching XM hybrid in South Africa for R3.4 million

BMW has announced the pricing for two new cars from its M-series coming to South Africa next year, including the powerful XM plug-in hybrid.

The BMW XM is the company's first high-performance car with an electrified drive system, and the first new standalone M model since the BMW M1 launched 44 years ago.

All the black trim makes it look like one of those cheap town run arounds clad in black plastic like a C4 or a Kwid

Also the inside is horrible, who the hell wants a beige and blue interior.

R3.4 million for a fugly car that only drives 88km on it's battery. I suspect the Corolla Cross drives further for 1/10 the price.

bmw know their target market.Lets just say there current target market arent the most sophisticated.In years gone by both BMW and Merc where associated with professionals ie doctors , lawyers etc.Now its totally different.A new market has opened up for them
